Tim Carter has 20 plus years of actual hands-on residential construction experience. He is a master carpenter, a master roof cutter and a licensed plumber. In May of 1993, Tim was honored as one of the Top 50 Remodeling contractors in the USA.

He currently writes a syndicated newspaper column called Ask the Builder. The column appears in many major newspapers including, but not limited to, The Chicago Tribune, The Arizona Republic, The St. Petersburg Times, and The Detroit News. Tim does a radio talk show every Saturday morming on WGRR 103.5FM in Cincinnati, Ohio.
