R&R Archway and Stackable Clamping Systems

R&R Clamp, LLC is a small Midwestern manufacturer of specialty application wood clamps. The philosophy that drives the ideas for our products is the constant pursuit for cutting edge, high quality products to aid in simplifying and speeding the manufacturing process. Both of our Clamping Systems adhere to that philosophy. The precisely laser cut clamps bent on a computer controlled press out of heavy gage metal, coated in durable, glue resisting powder coat paint are as easy to look at as they are to use. You will trust them repeatedly because of their rugged Tig welded frames, making them rigid and strong, providing years of square and parallel glue-ups. Both the Archway Clamping System and the Stackable System described below will prove to be a shop favorite for years to come.

R&R Clamp, LLC Archway Clamping System

The R&R Clamp Archway Clamping System is an innovative and easy way to create beautiful and accurate arched moldings and jam extensions for those arched top windows and doorways. A helpful product demonstration can be seen below:

To set up the arch, simply calculate the radius to the doorway by utilizing a template or compass, align the clamps on the arch layout line, screw the clamps down, and start your wood preparation. Use your choice of wood material, rip the stock into strips (any thickness between 3/16 and 1/4" works well depending on your material) keeping the strips in order and oriented, and lay them out for gluing.  Next, lay the metal strips (included in the Archway Kit) in the Archway Clamps against each jaw, start gluing the wood strips and placing them in the clamps against the metal strips. After you are finished with your last strip, simply grab your cordless drill and tighten the clamps from the center out, alternating from one side to the other. The metal strips serve two purposes. First, they allow the clamped strips to move freely inside the clamp jaws. They also introduce a different characteristic of memory to the arch which combined with the memory characteristics of wood, help create a consistent, accurate arch. When the project is dry, you can remove it and do the next arch with identical results. The glued piece can then be shaped or machined to meet the needs of the finished project. After using the R&R Clamp Archway Clamping System, you will no longer steer away from a project with curved features, you will welcome it!

R&R Clamp, LLC Stackable Clamping System

The R&R Clamp Stackable Clamping System is a space saving and time saving product designed to help your project go smoother and save valuable space around the shop.

To organize a glue-up area, simply screw the Starter Strips to your work surface at a predetermined distance in a parallel relationship to each other. When you are ready for gluing your panel doors, panel frames, laminated block, or any other application, you lay the first two clamps in the Starter Strip notches at the width of your project. The starter strips accept the tabs in the clamps which automatically square your clamps. Next, lay your first glued panel in the clamps and tighten them with your cordless drill. The next clamps interlock with the first set of clamps to take your glue setup vertical. Lay your next panel in the second clamps and tighten with your cordless, lay the third set of clamps in the notches on the second set of clamps, put your panel in and so on. The Stackable System alleviates the glue up “sprawl” you often encounter when doing a mass glue up by taking the glued project pieces vertical. Now, you are only taking up a small amount of bench-top or floor space while clamping multiple pieces at one time. Because the clamps are interlocked with tabs and notches, the panels can be individually removed from anywhere in the stack up at any time if you have more panels to glue. A helpful demonstration can be viewed below:
