Troubleshoot Automatic Garage Door Opener

Q.  What’s wrong with my garage door opener? The automatic opener was installed by the previous owner. It worked fine for a couple of weeks, then the door quit shutting all the way, returns to the “open” position, and the motor starts flashing lights.

If you don’t have a manual, contact the manufacturer regarding the flash code. Some manufacturers even have the flash code posted online to help pinpoint the problem.
